Tatra, Peterbilt Shine at 2015 Art Center Car Classic
Pasadena, California (October 25, 2015)
Art Center College of Design hosted the 2015 Art Center Car Classic last weekend, and two of the most eye-catching vehicles on display were a 1954 Tatra 603 and a 1941 Peterbilt 357. The Tatra was one of the most advanced cars of its time, featuring a rear-mounted V8 engine, a sleek aerodynamic body, and a luxurious interior. The Peterbilt, on the other hand, was a rugged and powerful workhorse that was used to transport heavy loads across the country. Despite their different origins and purposes, both vehicles represented the best of automotive design in their respective eras.
More Than Just Cars
The Art Center Car Classic is more than just a car show. It is also a celebration of automotive design and culture. This year's event featured a variety of activities, including a panel discussion with automotive designers, a film screening, and a concours d'elegance. The event also raised money for scholarships for Art Center students.
If you missed the 2015 Art Center Car Classic, be sure to mark your calendar for next year's event. It is a great opportunity to see some of the most beautiful and interesting cars in the world, and to learn more about the history of automotive design.
