Ducati Revamps Technical Department: Tardozzi Departs, Ciabatti Takes Over

Aprilia and Ducati Announce Managerial Changes

Ducati Makes Key Changes in Technical Department

Ducati has announced a significant shake-up within its technical department, with the departure of Davide Tardozzi and the promotion of Paolo Ciabatti to take over the reins.

Tardozzi, who has been with Ducati for over a decade, has played a crucial role in the team's successes, including the 2022 MotoGP Constructors' Championship.

He will be replaced by Ciabatti, who has a wealth of experience in Grand Prix motorcycle racing, having previously held management positions at Aprilia and Honda.

Ciabatti's New Responsibilities

As the new Ducati Technical Director, Ciabatti will be responsible for overseeing the development and testing of the team's MotoGP motorcycles.

He will work closely with Ducati Corse General Manager Gigi Dall'Igna to ensure that the team has the best possible equipment to challenge for the MotoGP title.

Tardozzi's Departure and Future Plans

Tardozzi's departure from Ducati marks the end of an era for the team.

He has been a key figure in Ducati's recent successes, and his experience and knowledge will be missed.

Tardozzi's future plans are currently unknown, but it is widely expected that he will continue to work in Grand Prix motorcycle racing in some capacity.

Aprilia's Managerial Changes

In addition to Ducati's changes, Aprilia has also announced a managerial change, with Romano Albesiano stepping down as Aprilia Racing's Technical Director.

Albesiano has been with Aprilia since 2015 and has played a key role in the team's development.

His replacement has yet to be announced, but it is expected that Aprilia will make a decision in the near future.
